ZoomInfo is a must for my office, I use it daily! It allows me to source and cross-reference our existing contact list of companies and their staff along with organizations to whom we are seeking to connect. It streamlines the research process and saves me time in my hectic day!

Our company uses ZoomInfo in Sales. Every day we are reaching out to new prospects. Almost every organization uses our services so targeting our resources is very important. By using ZoomInfo our Sales Execs can create filters to search for companies based on employee size (which is how we segment our reps), by geography, and, most importantly, by Intent. This identifies who is likely to be looking for our services. The accounts can easily be pulled into Salesforce our CRM. Not only do we get the account, but also the contacts by Department so we can identify who we want to contact. It's the best database tool to identify who we should target for prospecting. That fills our pipeline and that brings home the sales. I only wish I had ZoomIfno earlier in my career!

  • Imports into our CRM: Super easy and fast.
  • Updates on filters: Filers can be saved and you can opt for updates to refresh your CRM database with new targets.
  • Interacts well with Linkedin Navigator: This allows me to easily identify new individuals and import directly from Linkedin with ZoomInfo into our CRM.
  • Contacts could be updated more frequently: Some have been gone up to 2 years ago!
  • Import a list of accounts into Salesforce rather than individually. Or, if that exists, make it easier to know about so I could do it!
  • If companies have been acquired, it would be nice to link that information somehow so we know a parent company may be involved.

We use Zoominfo for contact acquisition, alerts on companies/contacts, and data enrichment. We target large enterprise companies across a number of different industries so it's vital we have up-to-date information on our customers and prospects. It also integrates with a number of different tools in our tech stack such as Linkedin, SFDC, and Outreach.

At Lingotek, we use ZoomInfo to help us source contact information and find potential leads for our sales and sales development teams. We also use ZoomInfo to update our database with the most up-to-date information for all of our contacts and accounts. Without ZoomInfo, our database would be outdated and we would have to hire someone specifically to keep the database up to date.
  • Works internationally and has the best global coverage of any similar product.
  • Easy to integrate with Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • They are willing to grow and build to help their clients. We have been a part of several beta programs that have helped us and other clients.
  • At times, we have found some of the contact information to be out of date.
  • The pricing model makes it hard to scale efficiently.
ZoomInfo is ideal for companies that are looking for large amounts of contact information for contacts and accounts across the globe. There are competitors that have better databases for specific industries or regions, but as far as a global solution, ZoomInfo has been the best thing that we have found. I would recommend ZoomInfo to most growing sales organizations.

We're using it for prospecting and outbound efforts by our sales team. We were able to get through the first year of our journey using LinkedIn and guessing emails but as we started to scale, it was clear that we needed technology that would enable us to do this quickly and more efficiently. ZoomInfo is definitely that tool.

Great for sales teams looking to scale outbound with confirmed contact info (email, phone numbers) and relevant company news/alerts to help you stay on top of everything. Connections to Salesforce and Outreach/SalesLoft make it super easy to keep all of your records in place and up to date.

We are using ZoomInfo as an integration to our Salesforce platform. The integration was absolutely seamless, the specifications were clearly written and easy to follow. Our sales reps are enjoying the flexibility of the filters to clearly define targeted prospects. Looking forward to increased sales and enhancing our existing data!

Basically, ZoomInfo is positioned as a "prospect" tool for B2B. I don't see this as a B2C tool at all but then again I am not in the B2C realm. ZI is also suited for companies that need to enhance their existing data to make better strategic decisions. Not so sure ZI provides demographic charts of existing data in chart form.

ZoomInfo is being used for View, Intent, Engaged for the entire Sales team to obtain leads for future opportunities. The business problem it addresses is helping the team gather information to reach the decision-makers for our products.
  • ZoomInfo helps me to target decision makers to transfer to my CRM system.
  • ZoomInfo also gives me an opportunity to find companies who have researched our products in Intent which gives me an opportunity to gain new leads and business opportunities.
  • These strengths ZoomInfo offers are state-of-the-art technologies and have given me the ability to contact hundreds of prospects a day vs. on 30-50 previously.
  • ZoomInfo offers great training tools.
  • ZoomInfo has room for improvement adding additional CRM to migrate with their system. Currently, the CRM is not part of ZoomInfo.
  • I have had several emails bounce back that were A and above. I think credits should be given back.
  • Would like for Export Credits to roll over the next month. Or convert Views to 1/2 the amount and add more Exports. Views take up too much time to enter into the CRM system if you run out of Exports credits.
I had been trying to get in contact with the decision-makers in the supply chain for a big corporation and was not able to get the contact info prior to using ZoomInfo. Once our company, added ZoomInfo, I was immediately able to get the information and got in touch with the category manager. We are currently working with them to be added as a new vendor. There should also be a click before you transfer to Excel that does not include their personal address. I'm only interested in their work information. I have to delete those columns before I add them to my CRM.

ZoomInfo is used across the entire org, it's most used by sales and marketing. It's deeply integrated into our sales process to help us find new leads and easily integrate the user data into Salesforce. ZoomInfo is also invaluable in helping us find the correct contact to connect with. Having the ability to upload our own prospected leads into ZoomInfo and integrate them into Salesforce is also phenomenal.

ZoomInfo is deeply suited to finding leads and the specific in your geographical area, especially for finding the correct contact to engage with. I use Intent frequently to find companies that are searching for authentication and internet security. Being able to easily import that information into Salesforce and send out email campaigns through Outreach, helps me connect with customers quickly.

We used ZoomInfo mainly for the Sales Team to look for leads and make account management plans for each client, while also getting the lead's data such as phone number, job role, and email to build marketing email lists so we could make targeted campaigns by industry and job role to support the Sales Team. As a marketing manager, I was responsible for preparing the lists and validating them with the Sales Team so we could coordinate marketing emails and sales phone calls.

  • Integrations with other tools.
  • Email validation with tools like never bounce.
  • Ability to integrate with Linkedin for connections and in-mails.
It's a very useful solution for companies that work with account-based management sales strategies and direct marketing campaigns. This is the first step for a successful strategy as it helps to get you the right contacts in the right companies. That said, this is just the tip of the iceberg because you need to have good quality content, good marketing operations, and a good process established between the Marketing and Sales teams to make everything happen afterward.

It is used in Sales by Sales Development Reps and Account Executives to find prospects, find accounts, and find contact information about prospects. It is a great too for account mapping and building pipeline. Most useful for finding contact information once you know a prospect's name. I use ZoomInfo almost daily.

We use ZoomInfo for our Business Development team to prospect new leads. Our Business Operations team uses it to enrich key fields to ensure that our processes has the data points to automate and access the health of our accounts. We use it to standardize our Accounts to have an equitable spread of accounts across key industries that we are targeting as a company.

ZoomInfo is used by people in Marketing, Sales Development, and Sales departments. It is primarily used to get data on prospective customers. Data such as company info, contact info, technology they are using, etc. It is integrated with our CRM platform and data export is very easy. We have also recently started using it to identify buying intent in our prospective customers.

  • Easy and great User Interface and seamless integration with CRM, LinkedIn and other platforms.

Highly recommended for doing territory research, creating and exporting target account and contact lists, searching for company and contact info, integrating with CRM, LinkedIn and other platforms for seamless one-click export of company and contact information such as email addresses, phone numbers, roles and titles, technology used. It is also effective to understand buying intent of our prospective customers.

It needs some improvement when it comes to data on smaller Tier 3 companies, typically revenues below $500M.

Need data for Sales Development Reps and Account Executives.
  • Good amount of data available.
  • Direct lines were accurate before COVID.
  • Unexpected evergreen clauses in contract that I was not able to cancel my contract despite reaching out A MONTH before the contract renewal.
  • Non-responsive sales reps/AR team when dealing with a contract issue trying to reduce the size of my contract before the renewal.
  • Now being collected against for an amount larger than my original contract claiming I didn't reach out to the specific email that was in my contract to resolve the issue (despite having reached out to their sales rep about the issue).
Good if you plan on being a customer forever and really read their SAAS contract like it's a mortgage. Bad if you plan on trying to modify or ever leave the company. They're really shitty with customer service immediately resorting to threatening legal action as opposed to trying to win your business on providing value. They're overpriced for what they offer. There are many other better solutions on the market.

We tried to use Zoominfo as a source of leads but could not get through the set up for free trial. Had to deal with 5 or 6 incompetent ladies to get set up for a free trial. The "sales director" Nicole, decided that we were not a legitimate sales opportunity so did not complete the Zoom call or return my calls or emails when I asked about the "free trial." Had to follow up with another gatekeeping layer to get another appointment set up (since Nicole decided I was not worth a reply), only to have the gatekeeper arrange a meeting with the WRONG Nicole. So another day goes by without response and I call in and finally get someone named Malorie to actually take the time to call and ask about why I might want to spend $15000 for 1 year of ZoomInfo. She would only give 1 week's worth of trial, though it seems like lots of companies get the standard 2 weeks and of course they also severely limit the access and features and functions. I called into tech support and got an additional week which the "sales" team then decided they would retract without notice or warning during my "free trial" - what a joke. Don't use their overpriced service. Their staff are ruthless, greedy opportunists who don't [care] about your business.

ZoomInfo is used by various departments of my organization--sales, marketing, strategy, etc. Each different department uses it for different use-cases--mostly for data enrichment, contacts, and company and research purposes. Before making the decision to use ZoomInfo, we used Datanyze, which was acquired by ZoomInfo, and had experience with BuiltWith as well.

  • Renew and update new technologies which currently aren't monitored
  • ZoomInfo is more focused and has more advanced features on contacts and is less sophisticated on companies
  • Reporting options should be improved
ZoomInfo is well suited for any company or individual wishing to conduct analysis on markets and other companies/competitors, as well as enriching data for potential prospects. It's especially helpful for lead enrichment, including brand infographics, technographics, contacts, and conducting market and competitor research. For some use-cases, their reporting capabilities don't cover all the relevant options and can be improved.

We use ZoomInfo to find leads for our Sales Team. Our Sales Team uses our credits to export leads daily and find new business. It helps us really narrow down our search, and keep track of the results. The fact that we can get alerts via email when new searches are found is a huge plus.
  • Focuses easily and specifically on territory, company HQ, and company interest.
  • Sends email notifications when a search or contact is added to a list.
  • Easily adds your leads and contacts directly into Salesforce.
  • The credit system is frustrating. I do not like having to reset the bulk credits. It seems like a strange system.
ZoomInfo is appropriate when you want to reach out to a large group of people for sales outreach. It is less appropriate when you want to find a company that is looking specifically at your company.

Our Sales team currently use ZoomInfo for prospecting and downloading contact information into HubSpot. It always our Sales team to quickly filter companies based on location, size, industry, etc. to find contacts to prospect. We are able to quickly filter through companies and contacts and add them to sales campaigns.
  • They have good contact information whether it be emails or phone numbers.
  • Their search engine allows to you get very granular and specific to target specific firms.
  • The interface is very easy to use.
  • When searching for company location it doesn't filter out the contacts who are in other locations.
When trying to prospect individuals within a firm it is easy to find their contact information and role and add them to campaigns I'm currently working on.

We currently use is as a database for lead generation.
  • Easy to find a prospect or company if you have the name.
  • Integration with HubSpot works really well.
  • Integration with LinkedIn is also very handy.
  • (Potentially) Can give a plethora of information about a prospect.
  • Information can be inaccurate.
  • "Lead Quality" feature can leave out contacts that actually have correct information.
  • Contacts job titles are often incorrect, even if contact information isn't.
I think it serves it's purpose well and is easy to use. I am not very familiar with the competitors in the space though, so I can't give a great comparison to alternatives.
