Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I utilize Lumira to visualize HANA calc views for a defense management company interested in 8 different monitoring activities within the organization.

Pros and Cons

Real time connection to HANA.
Simple to use.

Needs more options to filter. Right now, it's single and multi drop down. What about sliders or radio buttons?
More graphical displays, such as dual axis bar graphs that allow for block overlays. Right now, the design features are only 25% of what alternative solutions may offer.
Color Legend is not dynamic.
Changing the data source, where missing fields no longer exist, will disappear... as opposed to leaving the view waiting for an alternative, available fields.

Return on Investment

For my client, the cost of Tableau made Lumira attractive but unfortunately, due to limitations on Lumira... the client is thinking the Tableau investment may have been better for achieving business objectives.
Data size limitiations.

Alternatives Considered

Lumira is the last of my visualization tool selections, this is in comparison to Tableau, Qlik, etc.

Due to its visual limitations, I would much rather use Tableau than Lumira. I have found the simplicity of using Lumira to fall short in comparison to other services that I always have available to me.
