Overall Satisfaction with Xactly Incent

We used Xactly Incent to calculate commissions and bonus/SPIFF for our sales team. We also used Xactly Incent to send out comp plans. Since we started using Xactly, our data is very stable and no more inquiries from the sales team regarding their incorrect attainment and commissions. I also like the fact that everything sits in one place like the signed sales plan. This makes it easy when it comes to audit time.
  • Xactly is constantly improving their products. I like the fact that they now have Connect for us to use. That way, we don't have to depend on their DELTA team if we need to make any changes on our end.
  • The new user interface navigation looks really clean and user friendly
  • It will be nice if we can make versioning steps easier if someone moves from one role to another.
  • Calculated quotas cannot be accessed from analytics.
  • If we can have the uploading word doc for sales plan into text section keeps the formatting the same as the word doc. Currently, when we upload, I have to go in and reformat the whole doc in Xactly.
  • It saves us a lot of time when we start using Xactly. No more human errors.
  • Payouts are accurate and on time.
We are working with AGI to do some benchmarking. As for sales performance analytics, I do use the Analytics module.
I think we will probably like to explore into quota planning.
Integrating with Salesforce.com is great. Our source of truth is Salesforce.com. As for WorkDay, I am pretty new at using this integration and not totally buy-in with this integration yet.
Our HR and Sales Operations do use data from Xactly to evaluate performance and for SPIFF and President's Club.
Pricing, Implementation time and Support team is much better than Callidus.

Xactly by far is the best product/tool based on my years of experience using it. It is so much easier to use compared to Callidus. In Xactly, you can view detailed credits and commissions and Callidus is not able to and Callidus does not have the YTD Attainment view compared to Xactly.

Evaluating Xactly Incent and Competitors

Yes - 

I have worked for Collibra since May 20221. I was hired to help with the Xactly implementation to replace Callidus that we have been using for a couple of years. The feedback I have from the sales team is that Callidus is like a roulette wheel. It generates commissions as it wishes and we have a lot of over payments. They are huge overpayments. Now we have to start clawing back those overpayments and this is not a very good experience for the sales team. No one likes clawbacks. Data in Callidus is not accurate and our team constantly gets bombarded with questions on their attainment and commissions.

We went live for 4 months now with Xactly and the feedback I get from the sales team is very positive. Everyone is happy that their attainment and commissions are very accurate and the best part is they are able to view detailed line items of each credit and commissions. We don’t have a lot of inquiries about whether their attainment or commission is incorrect anymore. This helps a lot for our team and we can focus on other projects and analytics for the team.

For us, using a product or tool that is reliable is important because we need the sales team to trust the data and they can focus on selling. We definitely do not want to distract them from selling and trying to figure out what their attainment and commissions are if the tool is not reliable.

I have used Xactly for more than 10 years, and I really love it and can testify that it is a great product/tool. Of course there is still room to improve on certain features but this is one of the best tools I've used.

If I have to do it all over again with any company, I will definitely choose Xactly without a doubt. I trust the product and their customer service is really great. To me, product and customer service comes hand in hand. If you have a great product and not very great customer service, I might have to think twice. So far, my experience with Xactly has been really great.

Xactly Incent Implementation

This rating only applies to my current experience with Intangent. In my previous experience with other consultants are great.

Intangent performed our implementation and we did not have a great experience with them. I don't think they are very experienced folks doing the configuration. I feel like I know more about how Xactly works than them. There are times I have to question them on why they do it this way instead of the way they are doing. They are not very organized and not very easy to work with.

Simple rule of thumb is to always version the FRD when there are any changes. Intangent did not do that and it was hard during UAT. I came into the implementation half way through and asked why there is no latest FRD version doc. They told me that they don't do that. When it comes to UAT, it is hard to tell what the changes are and they don't remember the change especially since I wasn't involved from the beginning.
Change management was a major issue with the implementation - Versioning FRD is key.

We are having such a hassle moving from a third party implementation support to Xactly support. This is due to our third party implementation team not doing what they supposed to do to move us and it dragged on for months after we went live. I contacted Xactly Support and explained to them my frustration for not being able to put in a case with Xactly support because we haven't even moved to Xactly Support yet. I explained how our third party implementation team is not very helpful. Their Xactly Customer Success team quickly set up a call with me to help me with the issue and was able to move me to Xactly Support very quickly after they talked to our third party implementation team. This is what I call great customer service.

I think there are still room for improving on some features. In technology things revolve all the time. There is always room to improve.
