Overall Satisfaction with HPE Nimble Storage
We are using HPE Nimble Storage for all of our production VMs. The VM infrastructures touch the whole organization and we are very happy with the decision we made to go down this road. We were looking for improved performance for our VMs and with the Flash storage Nimble offered we are enjoying quick and responsive experiences.
- Nimble scales well which is a beneficial for an organization that grows quickly.
- Nimble is quick and responsive as well. Flash storage performs more efficiently than standard spinning disks.

- Initial start-up cost was steep as we needed multiple controllers and 17 TB of data, but once you work the startup cost out of the way maintenance is comparable to other solutions.
Nimble is much quicker and more efficient than the MSA solution, however we did roll out the MSA solution for DR purposes. Running them side-by-side you can see a significant variance between writing speeds between the two products. Because we are a 7 day shop and have high-throughput at some of our branches, the efficiencies of Nimble is what sold us on the product for our production cluster.
