Overall Satisfaction with Fleetsmith

We use Fleetsmith to manage our fleet of laptops across the business. The service works brilliantly and is simple and very efficient to use.

Whenever we have encountered any friction, which typically comes from Apple rather than Fleetsmith itself, they are always supportive, quick to respond and helpful. Onboarding in the early days was great and the service continues to work flawlessly since the day we signed up.

  • Modern UI
  • Reliable
  • UI is sleek and modern but sometimes a little too minimal depending on the size of your viewport
  • Very easy to get going and use; can send laptops to people for self-setup out of the box
  • Removes the need for imaging/re-imaging simple device deployments
  • Automatic profiles take manual intervention when reprovisioning a machine which is less smooth than a new deploy
  • All of the above save a huge amount of effort and therefore time and cost
UI is nice and recently redone but sometimes a tiny bit awkward to click through. On the whole the functionality and how everything works is well done and easy to manage.
Fantastic support. I have had a few queries on how to go about doing things in the best way and the support at Fleetsmith was always very quick to reply and with excellent advice and detail to solve the problem and lead is into our best use of their product.
Our decision was made some time ago so I don't remember all the details but we went with Fleetsmith originally on a recommendation.

One major influence was the direct and no-effort integration into our G Suite account for ease of management and tying back to our organisation within there. This makes life easy and incredibly straightforward which is very important for us beyond MDM functionality.
  • Fantastic for managing a fleet of Apple devices in the SMB/SME space where we are. I can't speak to larger scale operations but if you want to deploy devices for 1-100 people, it would be hard to make it faster and easier than it is with Fleetsmith.
  • If you need very granular or shared profiles for devices that can be combined, I don't think this is a capability and might be something nice for future if people want modular permissions and profiles.
