Overall Satisfaction with Progress Sitefinity

Progress Sitefinity is used across the entire organization for the company website. It addresses the issue of complicated web updates by providing a tool to easily manage content. Also, Sitefinity allows us to easily create private content for different roles and membership types, which is key to our organization and online benefit distribution.
  • Easy to use CMS
  • Versatile for search setup
  • Information management can be complex and supported by the platform
  • Less code to do certain things
  • More out of the box integrations
  • More add ons for enhanced features
  • Staff is empowered to update site
  • The website is easy to change and flexible
  • We have been able to develop a lot of aspects in house
The stability of Sitefinity and speed are better. The ease of content updates and template creation is by far superior and doesn't require any technical knowledge. Sitefinity doesn't force you into unplanned and forceful updates, like other software for content management that is available in the market. This makes the system reliable for enterprise settings and allows for careful planning when an upgrade is required.

Sitefinity is really easy to use. It has two views for content editing. Once, that is all visual, while the other is a bit more code based. This allows different types of content managers to access content and perform updates and add new content. Accessing all types of content in the system is intuitive and easy to follow.
Support can be pretty good, even though, depending on the level of licensing, it can take longer to hear back from their team. They do have a phone option, which works well. Overall, they are knowledgeable, and helpful when needed. At times, support is able to access the system directly and troubleshoot critical items when needed.
It is well suited for companies that don't have a lot of technical staff for the content editing end. However, for setup, upgrades and customizations, Sitefinity isn't the easiest to manage. It is also well suited for role management and users. It is very easy to create new roles and assign them to users. Likewise, creation of special content types, such as news and lists for content display is also intuitive and easy to do.
