Overall Satisfaction with Eventbrite

Eventbrite has been used this year and previously for registering individual attendees for a professional development and networking conference, across the whole organization. It's a pretty efficient ticket sales and donation gateway for the size events this organization produces.
  • Options for creating specialized demographic-gathering questions. Great for post-event analytics about attendees, which is also helpful for future event planning.
  • Coding for ticket discounts and complimentary passes. We have many guest passes that need unique codes. This saves the event staff from manually registering specialized individual ticket sales. It also enables drilling down for post-event analytics.
  • Clean design layout. Simple to set up, simple for attendees to navigate.
  • Drilling down through order details can be a bit tedious.
  • Setting requirement switches for some customized customer questions may seem complicated.
  • Badge creation has limited design options.
  • The online fees are reasonable.
  • Having fees payable by the buyer is convenient.
  • For no-cost ticketed events, it is very helpful to nonprofits that Eventbrite doesn't charge for online ticket management.
While we haven't used other products, we were approached by Evensi for promoting our event - they found our Eventbrite webpage and contacted us for further services. Several on our planning committee gave it some thought, as Evensi brought our Eventbrite webpage an additional 2K+ general viewers. We considered the enhancement might be worth it, but it would have incurred an additional cost, and we didn't think the ROI was worth it due to our very specific niche audience. We decided our audience was best suited by sticking with Eventbrite's features and our own marketing on our social media pages and websites with links to our Eventbrite page.
We've been able to find a good tech and user support as needed for all our Eventbrite events throughout the years.

Do you think Eventbrite delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Eventbrite's feature set?

Yes

Did Eventbrite live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Eventbrite go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Eventbrite again?

Yes

While Eventbrite is really quite good for both individual and multiple-purchase ticket purchases, and we have used both, it is our experience with sponsors and group registrations that they need group tickets best handled through a personal registrar due to a lot of ticket changes that can't be self-administered easily online by the buyers.

  • Administrative support/event registrar
2 - Skills:

  • Understanding of how to edit ticket sales when needed by the buyer.
  • Understanding of how to set up and apply special codes for discounts and passes.
  • Basic sense of graphic design.
  • Understanding of when some ticket categories need to be hidden from public viewing.
  • Understanding of how to capture specialized demographic data with customized questions per ticket category.
  • Understanding of pulling ticket data for reports.
  • Demographics for the annual conference.
  • Demographics, including giving levels, for special fundraisers that can be included from year to year to a repeatable donor base.
  • Crowdsourcing for one-off special events that include donations as an option.
  • Able to drill down on audience participation categories for future planning needs.
  • Able to ask demographic questions to know the audience better.
  • Use registration analytics for more specific post-event follow-up survey questions.
  • Use registration trends to target larger audiences.
So far, we pretty much use Eventbrite exclusively for ticketed registrations.
