Good for time tracking and billing, but not document management

Overall Satisfaction with Firm Central

We use Firm Central for billing purposes only. We had used it for case management but the document management function did not work well so we scaled back the functionality in the system to better suit our needs.
  • Time tracking.
  • Billing.
  • Easy access to Westlaw.
  • Uploading documents.
  • Viewing documents.
  • Collaboration on documents.
  • Tracking time was positive.
  • Cost us money to switch document management systems.
  • Loss of time/work product with document management functions.
We moved away from Firm Central for document management and are considering these other platforms but have not made a decision yet and instead are using in-house options.
I have not had to use support.

Firm Central works well for billing and tracking time, plus it's a nice place to have all of your cases organized but it is not good for case management. However, the limitations on document management make it impossible to rely on and to use well.
