Overall Satisfaction with StarWind HyperConverged Appliance (HCA)

StarWind HyperConverged Appliance serves as our hardware and storage for our sites. StarWind replaced our traditional SAN and host infrastructure. The company needed to replace the end of life server infrastructure while introducing new technologies like hyper converged platforms. StarWind also solved the problem of needing redundant storage without breaking the bank.

StarWind's proactive support is very impressive. They have full visibility on all their hardware 24/7 and are quick to respond or reach out if they see any issues. They also watch workloads and let you know if specific servers are not performing well on the hardware. Their support enables us not to worry about our systems and frees up cycles for our systems engineer.
StarWind's availability has been solid so far in our environment. We do run into hypervisor issues but with a multi-host and replicated storage solution, we see little to no interruptions. The replicated storage really improves our resiliency against storage failures that often occurred with our old traditional SANs.
StarWind at its core functions as the big hitters in the VSAN world, but comes at a better price. Their ability to provide us with HyperConverged technology without needing flash storage or an expensive storage switch is what drove us to buy StarWind. StarWind was also a better solution for remote office branch office locations.
A StarWind HyperConverged Appliance for environments that don’t utilize a ton of read/rights and have a high volume of servers fit well with their base models. Remote office branch office setups perform well on a StarWind HyperConverged Appliance. Their base models would not be recommended for a data center environment.
