Overall Satisfaction with SAP Ariba Procurement

We've used SAP Ariba for 3 years for sourcing strategies.
At this moment we are deploying SAP SLP for our department of vendor management, and for another business entity we have SAP CML for core banking.

  • The user experience is very friendly even for those who are not involved with technology.
  • Our bidding processes are very clear for the vendors, because it permits send their quotations in real time.
  • The configuration of our events is very easy to handle, it's important for us because sometimes we must to publish in a very short period of time.
  • Support for our vendors in order to help them to incidences that they present during the events, especially in auctions.
  • As we are located in Mexico City, sometimes it's difficult for us contact the support area because the telephone numbers are foreign, besides, the communication it's sometimes in English, not all the team can talk in this language.
  • According to the registration process that the partner established in the manual, it isn't easy for the suppliers following the instructions, we have [had] several problems with this. We believe that [it] is not clear to fill out the requirements that we ask so this complicates the events.
  • Positive, because it has improved the way we make the bidding process so this allow get our transparency objectives
  • Negative, as we cannot help the suppliers with incidences. It causes dissatisfaction for them, especially when they think that lose for functionality issues of SAP ARIBA

Is well suited for RFI´s, RFP´s and Auctions because for the buyers it is easy to use.
Is less appropriate for the suppliers' experience. For buyers it's complicate[d] to help them because we don't know the functions that the system provide for suppliers. It's a blind spot for us.
