Overall Satisfaction with MS SharePoint
Used across the whole organisation as a source of truth for documentation, knowledge and collaboration. We use SharePoint as a central hub for processes.
- Document collaboration - people can add and edit at the same time, meaning less time wasted and no need to email versions.
- Integration into Microsoft Teams e.g. you can open a PowerPoint straight from SharePoint into Team and documents can be shared and stored.
- Links to all the MS Apps for easy navigation.
- Some of the online versions of applications don't work as well as the desktop apps e.g. format of documents look weird, not as many options, limited copying, etc.
- The UI/UX is quite clunky if you're not used to it.
- Being able to have multiple people collaborate on documents at one time means less time wasted adding versions together, emailing documents etc
- Having one shared location as a source of truth is really powerful and keeps everyone in an organisation aligned
- Easy to use with the rest of the MS O365 suite
Google Drive is much more limited, SharePoint can also be configured with tighter security restrictions and more targeted access. MS fit[s] in well with our existing suite and had the most integrations available for the items we needed.
