Overall Satisfaction with Lifesize Video Conferencing

We have Lifesize units in our remote offices throughout the continental US and Canada. It helps our representatives stay connected with their clients throughout the business needs. It keeps our travel costs down considerably.
  • Clarity of voice and video.
  • Relative ease of use.
  • Working well across various platforms.
  • Works well with other endpoint devices (example: Polycom).
  • Complete management from remote office.
  • Ease of use by inexperienced end users.
  • Ability to program direct dial to frequent conference numbers.
  • Positive: Long life
  • Positive: Reducing travels costs
  • Negative: Reoccurring maintenance contract costs.
For the TOC, I would say Lifsize has been good. We do use a combination of Lifesize and Polycom endpoints. Polycom does have more capabilities but at a higher cost.

Do you think Lifesize Video Conferencing delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Lifesize Video Conferencing's feature set?

No

Did Lifesize Video Conferencing live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Lifesize Video Conferencing go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Lifesize Video Conferencing again?

No

Lifesize is a fairly robust device. I know that Lifesize does offer more, but the cost vs. benefits does not warrant further expansion into the Lifesize product line.
Without a maintenance contract, I do not seeing anyone getting much support. We have not paid for a maintenance contract in years and will not get support for our devices.
Lifesize units do have a long life. We are 7 years of use on our units. Even through a few upgrades, the units are still holding strong. I would not use it for large venues (auditoriums). Even though they could be modified, I would find them hard to use in such applications.
