Overall Satisfaction with Trend Micro Apex One (formerly OfficeScan)
We use Trend Micro Apex One (formerly OfficeScan) across the whole organization. We started off with Deep security years ago and moved/upgraded to OfficeScan and up to Trend Micro Apex One. It is great for catching spyware and viruses. I feel it does a great job and gives me peace of mind. At the end of the day, our machines are covered from attacks.
- It does not eat up computer resources like other vendors do
- Upgrades and patching seem to go well and are easy to apply
- Software coverage is outstanding; peace of mind at the end of the day
- Only thing I would have to say that's negative is the reporting aspect. Basic reporting is good but still lacks some details. This is a problem with many of the software vendors I have encountered in the past as well. Reporting is still much better than most.
- Virus scan is amazing
- Spyware blocking works great
- Device control--we use it to block people from inserting USB drives by default; we want to make sure we know what is being inserted and opened on PCs
- We also use scan mail for email security and it works amazingly as well
- Saves time and money; gives us peace of mind that we are protected as much as possible
- Being confident with and in the software and your systems is half the battle of staying safe
- Microsoft ForeFront (Discontinued Product) and McAfee Endpoint Security
Trend Micro Apex One (formerly OfficeScan), to me, is head and shoulders above both of those products. You could take the best parts of both products combined and Trend Micro Apex One (formerly OfficeScan) is still so much more reliable, easier to manage, and trustworthy than the other two products. With them, I would spend hours each day trying to figure out issues with the computer agents. With Trend Micro Apex One (formerly OfficeScan), I do not have that worry.
