Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise

We use QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise within our accounting department as an accounting platform for daily tasks like payables, financial reporting, budget and cash flow tracking. It is a perfect platform for the company of our size which is especially helpful since we have a need for various types of reports.
  • Application of various sales tax rates.
  • Versatile reporting for multiple types of industries.
  • Customizable templates.
  • Limit to number of users.
  • Bulk update is not available to change expense category.
  • Visibility of financial goals through reporting.
We didn't experience substantial growth to consider switching from QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise to another ERP. QB scalability provided enough flexibility with our current volume and number of users. However, we know that QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise has a a good size data capacity which is sufficient for mid-size businesses and even larger enterprises.
QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise has a very user-friendly set up process. The initial setup interview guides through steps for specific industry. We were able to start using it right away without any snags or delays. Besides, there are lots of tutorials available through QuickBooks Support community as well as videos for various processes.
Multiple currency support allowed us to integrate payables for our international vendors, that was an extremely helpful feature. It was easy to use and didn't require any outside spreadsheets or calculations. Also, advanced reporting gave us a needed financial insight and helped with strategies and budgeting going forward.
We have used QuickBooks Online products but find the QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise to be a better fit for our company. And while QB online definitely has its pros, it is a pricier option. Plus for accounting professional, QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise is more versatile and powerful than QuickBooks Online.
QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise is extremely helpful in streamlining regular accounting tasks such as payables, reconciliations, etc. It is easy to use and suits many industries. However, it is not a perfect platform for financial trading companies because it does not offer user friendly tools to track investments and would require journal entries for that.
