Overall Satisfaction with Wix

Wix is used by our entire company. It is the platform that we use to communicate with our customers, our shop is on the Wix platform, and the branding is done using their tools. We have been recommending it to multiple other business partners and / or sister companies, and everyone had been satisfied with it.
  • E-mail integration
  • Shop set-up and e-commerce
  • Design Flexibility
  • Newsletter plans
  • Pricing is high for a start-up.
  • It is not very intuitive in one particular aspect - that is the design of the customer log-in accounts for the forum; difficult to customize the design. But that is only one feature that is a bit dodgy. Called support, I have always been walked through the process very carefully and patiently.
  • Most of our clientele comes through our Website. Wix allowed us to have a great website, at no design cost, because we've put it together ourselves.
  • Return of Investment is definitely a strong point, but not in the first couple years. In the first couple years, it was expensive for the amount of business the website brought it.
I selected Wix because it is way more user friendly. With WordPress, you need to either have advanced knowledge in coding and development, or you can hire someone to optimize your website for you. With Wix, you don't need to hire someone of have a lot of knowledge in coding - like a professional for instance - because it is all super intuitive and user-friendly.

Do you think Wix delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Wix's feature set?

Yes

Did Wix live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Wix go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Wix again?

Yes

Wix is well suited for a company that is looking to build a brand, and is looking forward to develop. It is intuitive to use, very friendly (except that one feature that I have already mentioned).
I would not use Wix for low key personal blogs or portfolios or hobby low-key websites. It's not that it wouldn't perform well, it's just that it's an over-kill price wise and complexity wise for something that is not bringing a revenue or does not need to promote a brand. If you want to take your Ferrari to Walmart for shopping, there's nothing wrong with that, but a Subaru will do. Take your Ferrari for a hot drive. (Dang, I like Ferraris...)
