Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp
"One app to replace them all" is their vision and it works pretty great! It's used by delivery teams to better organize the flow of work and communicate with each other. Companies can use it to improve collaboration across departments without having to invest much in change management and training.
- Plenty of pre-customized projects templates for small businesses.
- Strong enough capability for everyday workflow automation.
- Advanced customizing opportunities, especially when compared to the competition.
- Not-so-great mobile interface and opportunities.
- Some learning curve if you intend to really replace most of your company apps.
- Not advanced security settings outside of the most expensive plan.
- Customizing capabilities (custom fields, etc.).
- Easy-to-use and great time-to-value.

ClickUp hits the sweet spot for anyone interested in getting a good balance between project capabilities, collaboration features and customizing opportunities. It's not as overwhelming as Jira nor is it too rigid like Asana or monday.com. You will certainly not cover all PMI areas but, if your company is flexible enough to work around certain areas, the time-to-value and product adoption are pretty guaranteed.
