Overall Satisfaction with Workfront
Workfront is utilized by the marketing, communications and events team at BJC HealthCare. As many of our projects involve multiple users (now all remote workers), it's a way for everyone to communicate and update everyone on the progress, and also to share resources and documents as the project moves forward. It also lets people know when the project is complete, or what roadblocks there might be.
- Fosters communication between team members.
- Serves as a virtual "to do list" for me personally - I can track where I am with projects and what there is left to do, and when it's completed.
- Sharing documents between team members that can be updated.
- Notifications - at times it is difficult to receive updates from team members unless you log in.
- Cumbersome - at least at BJC HealthCare, there's a lot of steps to get things logged.
- Archive system - you have to set up a whole other folder or archive to put projects that are closed out.
- Positive - we get more work done in a timely fashion because all team members are using Workfront.
- Negative - projects can get held up quickly due to user error (e.g., someone not using Workfront or checking notifications)
- Positive - we have a good gauge of where personally we are with projects, and how are team members are spending their time.
We use both. Microsoft Teams is utilized more for meetings and urgent chat functions. Workfront is used for long-term projects and collaboration. Oftentimes these are used together.
