Overall Satisfaction with Roadmunk

We used it in prime gaming in our weekly program reviews. We discuss the status of projects (green, yellow, or red), with a particular emphasis on the yellow and red projects. We use Roadmunk to understand which aspects of those projects are running by schedule and focus the conversation on what the leadership team can do to help unblock those projects.
  • Easy to add swim lanes
  • Easy to change colors
  • Great way to visualize the milestones of a project
  • The fact that you have to add a date to everything; dates stick to people’s minds.
  • Connecting bars to milestones; unclear which to use when.
  • Collaboration isn’t great; can’t track changes, add comments, etc.
  • Swim lanes
  • Colors
  • Milestones
  • Allowed us to present our roadmap in quarterly roadmap reviews
  • Allowed us to review our programs weekly
  • Allowed us to work backwards from certain dates
Much easier to use Roadmunk than PowerPoint. The template is already set and the box heights are fixed. Having less flexibility is actually useful here, since you don’t have to build everything from scratch, you can just focus on the insights. The Gantt chart functionality in PowerPoint is more similar to Roadmunk.

Do you think Roadmunk delivers good value for the price?

Are you happy with Roadmunk's feature set?

Yes

Did Roadmunk live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Roadmunk again?

Yes

Easy to visually communicate a roadmap to a senior audience. Great to focus a conversation on what the biggest problem of a project is. Also enables good discussions about dates, dependencies, buffer times, etc. Allows people with limited background knowledge to ask good questions. Diagrams can range from very simple to very complicated.
