Overall Satisfaction with UserTesting
At the moment [UserTesting is] primarily being used by the Research department of our company, with insights being played back to stakeholders across the business. It has been used by Design Leads and Marketing analysts to gauge how the tone/feel of certain concepts lands with our demographic. Ideation is definitely emboldened with the insights offered from UserTesting.
- The video recordings offer a more immersive way of ascertaining feedback from users, and I feel as though the testers are more involved in the processes due to this feature.
- Tests are very easy to set up and customize, the UX is much more accessible than other platforms
- Sometimes with the A/B testing results it was difficult to find out the feedback accurately to compare
- No highlighter test means that often users can go down a particular stream of thought, that might not have anything to do with the messaging we're looking to test (even after being prompted)
- Informed an effective targeting strategy in terms of conversion
UserTesting has helped to inform how effectively our tone/messaging/design is speaking to our target audiences. This helps make decisions based on actual feedback instead of just opinion, whilst bringing to light possible areas of misunderstanding and informing our refinement processes. Its helpful how quickly UserTesting gathers insights, so that we can use it as part of an agile response to a potential issue.
UserTesting is much easier to use overall. If it's easier to user, it will get used more often. The ability for the testers on UserTesting to give feedback whilst they look at the content instead of afterwards like on UserZoom has given us more accurate data as well as making it an easier experience for the testers.
