Overall Satisfaction with DB2

We are using In memory BLU processing and in-database analytics, able to scale through MPP architecture. The flexibility of being in the cloud without giving up on control, suitable for the hybrid model. Security features can provide row and column level controls. For fine-grained access control to a data warehouse, we can create and use our own user-defined user roles to accommodate the special needs of our organization. Admin should be able to manage how access controls for the organization have to be managed. An audit policy is there to enable monitor unwanted access. Encryption is possible using the master key in DB2 Data Warehouse. DB2 warehouse also has integrated Spark.
  • ACID compliant
  • Good for transaction like work load
  • Suitable for continuous small amount of loads
  • handling more volume use changes
  • concurrent users
Db2 Warehouse provided more flexibility than another tool in the market for a hybrid solution. The ability to integrate with Oracle also was one of the useful features for our business case.
