Overall Satisfaction with DB2
It is being used by our research and development department. We are working on improving our IoT based ERP system. We want our system to have multiple database integrations so IBM Db2 on Cloud is one of them. We are storing the machine-generated data which comes directly from [the] production site.
- It is easy to understand
- It is fully managed and highly available
- It provides easy data migration
- They should work on improving UI part
- Documentation can be more helpful if they will add best practices section
- We have been using it for more than a year now and we have achieved higher ROI with it.
- ROI was high, as it was easy to train new developers.
- Azure SQL Database, Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) and Google BigQuery
We have also used Microsoft Azure SQL Database, which is better than IBM Db2 on Cloud in the number of ways. However, with IBM Db2 on Cloud, most of the new developers will be able to spin up a new instance of the database with very little effort. Its free lite plan is best to check out the service.
