Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Spryker CCOS is a solution I am positioning at our customers in an eCommerce or transactional business context and we implement Spryker especially for complex B2B cases around digital transformation. Especially for our customers dealing with more complex products, niche players, and hidden champions establishing a webshop, Spryker is usually a great fit.

Pros and Cons

Combination of Headless and API makes Spryker a good fit for different frontends, especially cool for more innovative digital business cases.
Great Partner Management and assets to support our consulting and sales process.
Continuous improvement of capabilities and OOTB features.

Needs a rather big initial time investment to learn the software by developers but a steep learning curve makes up for it.
Sometimes hard to position outside of Germany, brand awareness of Spryker outside Germany could be bigger.

Return on Investment

More reach into German market for us an an agency.
Spryker can function as a network multiplier for joint sales strategies and offers great pieces of content interesting to our customers (events, webinars...).
Spryker enables us to implement more complex ecommerce projects.
Great community with engaging spirit (Partner management, sales consultants...).

Alternatives Considered

Oracle CX Commerce (formerly Oracle Commerce Cloud)

Easier user experience for business users of CMS, faster implementation and better suited for MVP approach, TTTM and go-to-market.

Great for customers who want to customize their webshop to a certain degree but not go for custom development, customers who really know what they want in terms of functionalities have the advantage to only pay for capabilities they actually need and get regular updates...
