Overall Satisfaction with Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure
We started using it for a small-scale VDI and have now used it in anger for a lot more systems.
- Integration of HCI with an easy intuitive CLI
- Updates are straight forward
- Nutanix AOS training is free, labs are helpful and makes using Nutanix AOS easy
- Integration with other CLIs makes it complex to work out which CLI for which purpose is needed.
- Cost... its not cheap (but you pay for what you get some times.)
- We did get a dodgy set of DIMMs which require reboots, resetting, or replacing. Still getting above normal failure rates.
- It has mostly delivered what was expected.
- We flog the hardware hard and it has stood up well.
- The Nutanix ecosystem is improving all the time. Its a company going places.
50/50, not much in it, to be honest. Nutanix AOS wins on the support, training, and certification ease but Dell / EMC has the name and integration support with its other products (e.g., Nutanix not supporting Networkers hot add mode).

Evaluating Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure and Competitors
- Price
- Product Features
- Product Usability
- Product Reputation
Product features mean the product has to do what it says it will do, and Nutanix AOS does that. It needs to do what we need it to; otherwise, what's the point. It may not be the cheapest solution, but it certainly enables us, administrators, to do more with less.
