Overall Satisfaction with Xactly Incent

We currently use Xactly for our whole Sales organization. We have just launched the system at the beginning of our fiscal year and we have successfully added 3 out of our 7 Sales departments into the tool. It's been the best thing to happen to our organization regarding compensation. Our success rate is high and our Sales teams love the interface. Previously, I was calculating commissions out of a Google spreadsheet; and while working on numbers manually can be easier to adjust, it was costing me my time to work on other tasks. Xactly helped me better my time management and prevented mistakes that I would make on a spreadsheet. I would always recommend Xactly to anyone who is dealing with complex compensation models. It's no wonder they are a top leader in their field.
  • Provides a detailed drilldown of the deals Sales reps close and their commissions for deals
  • Provides clean dashboards and reports from the Analytics section that provide us real time data
  • Syncs with our Salesforce instance to automatically load orders without us having to add anything manually
  • Interface seems a little outdated
  • Many tabs that can be reduced since many of them point in the same direction
  • Adjustments to orders can be a little complex (should be as easy as manually adjusting an order in a spreadsheet)
  • It gave us the time back to steer away from manual statements and calcualtions
  • It provided us the reporting we needed without having errors
  • It worked with complex comp situations we encountered and needed fixes on (opportunity holdouts, order adjustments, etc.)
We are constantly analyzing the trends on payments released and sending this data to stakeholders to better improve our sales organization. If we notice payments are usually higher in one team compared to others, it gives us an idea on how we can improve on these areas for future months and quarters.
We haven't used Xactly to it full extent yet, but we plan to further improve our usage in the platform in our next fiscal year. Our areas of improvement will be the Sales planning and quota setting section. We have a goal in mind that is still in the works, but we are relieved to know we have a great tool to help us get to our goal.
Payroll and Accounting are currently using the data for accrual and payment purposes. They are extremely happy with the results as they now see the data much more accurately and cleaner than the times we were sending them manual files.

It has everything you need in a commission tool (and more). You get detailed reports that you can share to payroll and accounting, Sales Reps and managers can see all their closed deals in one window, and you can sleep at night knowing you do not need to provide over 50+ commission statements to people. Talk about getting your time back.
Although it's a great tool, it can always use improvements. It needs to be more modernized to how competitors are dishing out their compensation tools. It's really the tool you need for simple and accurate commissions for your organization.
