Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use NAKIVO to backup my onboard and offsite virtual infrastructure. It was necessary to identify a solution to make a fast and secure backup, to be able to verify it and to be able to restore both at the system, volume, and single file level. NAKIVO allows you to monitor backup activities as they are carried out, to receive daily reports on the status of individual backups, and to receive alerts and notifications in the event of problems or unsuccessful backups. NAKIVO was installed on a Linux VM and its configuration is saved daily both onsite and offsite.

Support Rating

Thanks to the internal ticket opening function and [being] directly connected to the user interface, requesting assistance support is quick and easy. It is also possible to include in the request a file containing all the configuration and log data, necessary for the resolution of the case. It is also possible to open a chat directly from the UI. Every time I needed it, the support was timely and complete, leaving nothing to chance and solving the problems thoroughly.

Usability

I am satisfied with the level of usability of the NAKIVO software. The user interface is essential and intuitive. There are not too many menus and the functions are well organized by category. Finding options is simple and when there is an update available a warning is prominently displayed on the dashboard. Even when there is an ongoing problem or activity, the progress is clearly visible.

Likelihood to Recommend

In a virtualization scenario with Host VMware NAKIVO is perfect. It can interface with Vmware Esxi and manage the backups of all the Virtual Machines present on the hosts. Backups can be made via the onboard transporter (or on other types of transporters) to a local NAS, connected with a 1/10 Gbps port, or directly to the cloud.
