Overall Satisfaction with Xero

Our companies books and invoicing are run on Xero. Our accountant uses Xero in her firm too so the integration and remote managing of our accounts are simple and easy. I personally use Xero on both my MacBook and iPhone and all payments are made and recorded in Xero too. It is our full financial suite.
  • Invoice our customers.
  • Capture our expenses.
  • Prepare the Annual financial statements.
  • Cash flow reporting.
  • Price.
  • Setting up of personalised stationery (not the easiest).
  • Mobile version is not the easiest to navigate (but not the worst either).
  • It is a reliable accounting system.
  • So because we can rely on it we can trust it which cuts down checking/auditing time.
  • Working with remote financial team is super easy, even if they are in another country!
Xero had better recommendations and my accountant preferred it even though it wasn't the cheapest, it came out the most recommended. Wave had a free version and a fairly good mobile experience this was our second choice.
There are a couple of User Experience things that I don't like - it may just be me - but I felt that as a non-financial person some of the navigating was a bit tricky.
Hasn't really affected/applied to us I don't think.
I am not sure as this is not something I have had to do so can't really comment. So just set it to 5 as neutral.

HubSpot CRM, Asana, Google Workspace (formerly G Suite)
Xero is a really good product. It is solid and reliable. We have used it in our company for many years and have no reason to change to one of the other platforms. If you have an external financial partner or accountant/bookkeeper it is easy enough to grant access (as well as revoke if need be). I do find the subscription fees expensive compared to some of the other solutions but it does get the job done and done well.
