Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Jabber

We used Cisco Jabber as an instant messaging service as well as video conferencing between internal employees. It was linked to our computer as our desktop phone that we were able to access once working from home.
  • Intuitive design that needed little explanation.
  • High quality video conferencing.
  • Ability to utilize Jabber as a desk phone.
  • Calls were occasionally cut off.
  • The system went down on numerous occasions.
  • No notification of a call coming in a few times.
  • Communication between departments.
  • Easy document sharing.
  • Ability to take desk phone calls from home.
I would say that Cisco Jabber is on par with the competitors. I have used Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business and both have similar capabilities. I would say that I have a slight preference of Microsoft Teams over Jabber as the calendar feature is better and the conferencing seems to be a bit more seamless.

Cisco Jabber is an ideal service for companies with employees working remotely. It is quick and easy to jump on a video conference call and it is extremely beneficial to have the desk phone accessible right from your computer. The instant messaging is great as well as a way to keep in close contact with other coworkers, regardless of location.
