  • The menu is very old and dated.
  • Better alerting capabilities.
  • Ability to restore backups from wiped devices.
  • Ability to mass push configuration changes to devices, saving the company a lot of time.
  • Ability to baseline devices, meeting regulation criteria for alerting on changes.

It is well suited for general configuration backups for less than 1k devices per polling engine. Great for searching all configurations within Solarwinds for keywords or items. Great for pushing configurations to simple network devices. Not so great for baselining and maintaining baselines on devices. Not so great for serial number information on devices. No so great for its outdated menu and reports.
