Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 X Series

We moved our organization over to 8x8 a few years ago, and it has been a great change in our communications. The setup of the system was seamless. 8x8 provided someone who helped us move from our old phone system to the 8x8 system, and they were fantastic to work with. We ended up taking a few days prepping new phone hardware and getting employee accounts set up and linked to their phones, then moved the entire organization over in 1 day. The computer and phone apps work really well, and they have given our employees a much easier way to communicate with other constituents without having to give out their private phone numbers. The training needed for end users has been pretty minimal as well since the system is very intuitive to use. Overall, I'm very pleased with 8x8.

  • Quality of calls has been excellent.
  • Implementation of the system was straightforward and help was available if needed.
  • The backend interface could use updating. It can be clunky to use.
  • We had a billing issue recently that was caused by a system change that was a little frustrating to deal with.
  • The Mac app could be re-designed to be a bit easier to use.
  • 8x8 was less expensive than the system we were using, so that was a big plus.
  • We also no longer have to host our own phone server on-premises so that is another cost savings both in the hardware itself but also in utilities to run it.
  • We haven't had negative impacts from 8x8 since implementation.

Pretty much if your business still relies on the telephone, 8x8 is a solid choice for you. The service is rock solid, and the fact that you can take it with you everywhere is fantastic. I have users that only use mobile or computer-based apps, while I have other users that have taken handsets home and just plugged them into their home Internet, and everything has worked flawlessly.
