Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 X Series

I am responsible for Maintaining the users and extensions for our Organization.
  • Makes it easy to update users information.
  • Simplifies management of Phone Numbers to.
  • Manages licenses for phone VoIP equipment.
  • Keep track of users that are no longer in the organization and when they are replaced.
  • Porting of numbers.
  • Makes it easy for our organization to see where we can allocate numbers for other departments.
  • The ROI for the cost savings is there when we are doing our fiscal reports.
Compared to RingCentral, 8x8 is far more user friendly and intuitive. It boasts a number of features that outweigh this competitor.

Using 8x8 X Series

150 - They represent Family Advocates and Neighborhood Center for Families (NCF) coordinators. The business function that they represent is to answer incoming and make outgoing calls to prospective families in need of assistance with education for the Head Start / Early Head Start Programs throughout the counties of Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties.
2 - The types of people involved to support the 8x8 Series are are the following:
4 administrators to manage the tasks of maintaining the numbers and extensions for the departments.
  • To aid in call que's
  • To assist callers to get directed to the respective department.
  • To confirm that customers are able to speak with someone quickly and on time.
  • During Covid it was instrumental in reaching out to staff that were on work from home basis.
  • Able to receive a staff member from offsite locations.
  • Expansion of Head Start locations
  • Expansion of Early Head Start locations.
  • Neighborhood Center for Families to utilize if other providers are unable to offer a comparable service at a low cost.
Ease of use.
Interface is excellent for navigating.
Being able to update the extension of a user is lightning quick.
Customer Support is phenomenal when we have had challenges with extensions in the past.

Evaluating 8x8 X Series and Competitors

I came into the role with 8x8 already being operational with the organization. The transition for what was used in another District that I worked in was night and day in convenience and simplicity of use.
I really wouldn't change anything about the evaluation and selection process as I was not a part of that. If I was to have to pick between 8x8 and another provider 8x8 would be a strong contender.

8x8 X Series Implementation

Support has been phenomenal in the implementation of the devices throughout all the head start and early head start sites.
  • NA I was not part of the initial rollout for the equipment.

8x8 X Series Support

I'm giving them a 10 because of the top of the line support that they have assisted me with in the past. I had a user who's number was not working correctly and after speaking with Customer Support they immediately understood what was going on with the extension and they explained to me that the extension had to be rebuilt. Once that was done the customer was back in working order.

The time was when we were troubleshooting whey a users account was not able to send or receive calls. The customer support representative was able to identify the issue and was able to get this resolved for the employee. We had a happy employee and cusotmers were also pleased because they were able to get their questions answered.

Using 8x8 X Series

8x8 make it user friendly to navigate and get things done efficiently. Whether its having to update a user's extension or adding a new user to replace an old employee. Everything can be done seamlessly from the 8x8 admin portal.
