Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 X Series (Formerly Virtual Office)

8x8 X series is being used across my whole organization. It addresses business problems in the way that the calls drop less frequently and the quality of the calls are better. The mobile and desktop apps are easy to use and the video meeting calls are great as well.
  • Call quality is way more clear, doesn't go in and out.
  • I like the user interface of the mobile app better than other VoIPs because it even has a directory of our whole company where we can easily call our colleagues and transfer calls to them as well.
  • We're able to add 8x8 as a video-conferencing option when taking client calls because it allows screen share and recording during meetings as well.
  • I wish there was a better way to reach their customer support whenever running into technical issues. The live chat feature seems like I'm talking to an automated bot.
  • Sometimes, there's a playback error on voicemails in the mobile app so hoping that'll get fixed.
  • A positive impact is that my client development team has mentioned that 8x8 is a lot easier to use than our previous VoIP when making client phone and video calls.
  • The quality of the client phone and video calls has been much better with less call drops.
8x8 stacks up against our previous VoIP, OnSIP, because it has a much easier user interface on their mobile and desktop app. The quality of their phone and video calls is way better; therefore, we chose 8x8 instead.
It's hard to reach a live agent quickly whenever we run into technical issues. They need to improve their live chat feature by having more equipped agents for that.

8x8 X Series is well suited whenever we want to take client phone calls because the quality and connection are reliable based off my experience so far. It is also suitable for whenever we take video calls with clients and/or need to chat with our fellow colleagues.

I can't think of examples yet of where it is less appropriate as it hasn't been that long since my company has started using 8x8.
