Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 X Series (Formerly Virtual Office)

8x8 X Series (formerly Virtual Office) is used at my company primarily as traffic control to steer clients to the correct area of the services we offer, that best will benefit what they are seeking. It also serves as a buffer from unwanted, time consuming calls from solicitors and automated dialers.
  • The Auto Attendant
  • The ability to have my office follow me wherever I go.
  • Having a virtual fax number for those businesses still using 20th century technology.
  • The learning curve of using the Auto-Attendant.
  • The online manual does not cover some aspects of using all functions.
  • It can be difficult searching for the answer needed to a question using the online resources.

  • It has reduced the amount if time it takes to answer unnecessary calls.
  • Sales calls are correctly directed to our website which provides all of the information most clients will need, thus eliminating the need to discuss pricing.
I have not used any alternatives since the years of Worldcom or MCI. There have been times I wanted to test the waters and see if another company would be a better fit. After reaching out to them or researching online, I found it unnecessary to do so.

This is a great service for businesses on the go or those which capitalize on virtual interaction with clients. A conventional company, in which a live person needs to answer very specific questions may not be the best option, unless the auto-attendant is primarily used to placing callers into the correct department or queue.
