Overall Satisfaction with AB Tasty

We use AB Tasty to implement and launch A/B tests on many types of web pages. We've launched many kinds of tests on web forms or our homepage. AB Tasty is only used by the marketing department's team. AB Tasty was chosen to answer the lack of a tool to set up and analyse the results of AB tests. The idea was to give the marketing team flexibility to improve the conversion rate on our forms on landing pages. The tool had to answer technical constraints that AB Tasty perfectly fulfilled.
  • Tests are very easy to set up with the platform, or using the widget.
  • AB Tasty's team are very open to propositions of evolutions for the tool.
  • Reading and analyzing the results of the tests is quite simple and intuitive.
  • The results are also easy to share with the people in the company who might find them useful.
  • Maybe some editor functionalities could be directly accessible from the homepage, like the amount of traffic you give to a test.
  • The functionality that allows you to point the whole traffic through a variation while keeping the measure of results is not that easy to set up compared to the editor tool. It could be even more intuitive by copying the set up of the initial test.
  • Reports loading can sometimes be quite long when we have a lot of traffic (that point has been improved but is not yet perfect).
  • Using AB Tasty made the marketing team a lot more efficient as we don't need the IT team that much to launch tests and follow the results.
  • AB Tasty reportings gave us the useful information to analyse the results of our tests and to keep improving our forms and landing pages.
  • The results are much more reliable on AB Tasty than on free tools we'd been using before.
We selected AB Tasty after using Google Analytics because setting up tests on Google's free test was not as easy and the results were not very precise. We had illogical results due to the way tests were set up on the tool so we chose a more reliable tool with flexibility for the marketing team. Our website technical architecture can sometimes be complex and AB Tasty was the only tool with a french support team that allowed us to set up the tests we needed.
AB Tasty's tool as well as the support team completely met my goals on A/B Testing. Editing a test is really easy and AB Tasty made the marketing team free to launch nearly any test. Reporting is also easy to set up and give us the information needed to keep improving transformation on landing pages and forms.
The main question that we asked ourselves when we had to choose a tool for A/B testing was "is this tool adapted to our website architecture and will it allow us to launch the A/B tests we want to launch ?" AB Tasty is very well suited to launch tests using a redirect or even to make some minor modifications on some pages without dynamics.

Using AB Tasty

3 - One person has been formed to use the tool in the marketing team, and 2 persons from the IT team.
3 persons in the marketing regularly use the tool. Only one person sets the tests up and the 2 others are likely to read and analyse the reportings.
People who use the tool are in charge of improving transformation on the website.
  • Being careful on the amount of trafic we put on variation is an important thing when we set up the test.
  • The setting up of objectives is a thing to take care of even before starting creating the redirected page for the test because some tests are really uneasy to measure
  • We've been using AB Tasty to measure the results of putting some elements off of landing pages and the results can be surprising.
