Overall Satisfaction with Abila MIP Fund Accounting

It is being used by the whole organization.

MIP Fund Accounting does all of our accounts payable, plus human resources and payroll. The organization uses the account to report on every grant that we receive; to track all expenses and revenues from Head Start, transit, home, and state funds. Each grant can be funneled down to the very last penny spent.
  • You can build your reports to fit any schedule.
  • MIP is easy to use and get around in.
  • The ability to training a new person is easy with the training module.
  • MIP is good to look up past vendors and what and when you paid an invoice.
  • The human resource part is great to keep track of all your employees.
  • I think the reports could use some better examples on how to build a report.
  • Training is hard to attend when it is out of town.
  • Time waiting for support could be faster.
Using MIP for multiple funds sources is great. We can track each grant and the expenses that are tied to that grant. Reports can be made for each fund source where the board of directors can see what is being spent and where the funds are coming from.
MIP Fund Accounting is well suited for accounts payable. In the fund accounting you can break the codes down to your departments, address of the departments, and all the way down to the least function that you would like to track. The budget part of fund accounting is a little more complex to use especially if you want to track the last few years. Using the human resource part of fund accounting works well with the payroll part of MIP.
