Overall Satisfaction with Abila MIP Fund Accounting

MIP is used as the fund accounting software by finance. It is used for payroll and HR uses the HR Module as our HRIS system. It is VERY limited from an HR point of view. [You] cannot run anything other than a canned report. When we run the wizards, it does not give valuable information and is difficult to verify.

Pros

  • Fairly easy to use.

Cons

  • When running the benefits wizard it does not give detailed information.
  • After entering new employees, not all of the information shows up in the benefits wizard so that it can be proofed.
  • Very limited in creating anything other than a canned report.
  • From an HR perspective, MIP is very limited, backwards, and creates a lot of manual work that other systems do automatically.
I did not choose MIP, it was already in place when I came.
