Overall Satisfaction with Acronis Backup & Recovery
It is currently being used by only the IT department to deploy and image new work laptops. We have tried some other products but they are no where near as quick and easy to deploy as Acronis is. We have used this for many years and will continue to use it for many years.
- In emergencies, having to take a quick image of a damaged laptop (not the hdd) and re-deploy to a new laptop is quick and easy.
- The full software suite is truly reliable when you need to create images of external drives for later use.
- Sometimes can be cumbersome when there is an error and it does not give you as much detail as others.
- Installation of the full suite can sometimes take an extreme amount of time to complete.
- Can not fully pick and choose which areas you would like to install.
- The amount of man hours saved from using Acronis is exponential. Having to pay IT people $30 an hour times 3 staff x a 40 hour work week... It pays for itself on the very first project.
- Also, the amount of time saved from users who suffer from a laptop crash or stolen hardware, do not have to wait a full day to get their laptops back. Also having SSDs as the media helps as well. Never say no to an SSD.
- During some problems when you have an extremely old computer that needs an image taken to put on a newer drive, Acronis doesn't blink an eye and continues on.
We tried with pixie boot and a couple others which will remain nameless. Every time Acronis shines in the speed and efficiency tests. Some of the other software take anywhere from 3 - 5 hours PER machines where as sometimes Acronis has taken as little as 15 minutes.
