Overall Satisfaction with ActiveCampaign

I use ActiveCampaign for a few purposes:
1. To send emails to my subscribers.
2. To use automations (sequences of emails) to convert prospects to buyers.
3. To send specific emails to segments of subscribers, based on common characteristics.

  • Customer Success: you can book an unlimited number of free calls with ActiveCampaign for them to help you solve sales and marketing challenges.
  • Segmentation: there are a lot of conditions by which you can segment for more effective and relevant communications and promotions.
  • Automations: they offer very robust automation functionalist, with lots of if/then options.
  • Technical support: very responsive, with relatively short wait times.
  • Could work a bit faster when loading different options.
  • Tremendous! The ROI that I got on my monthly membership is in the thousands.
I've used 4 different pieces of email marketing software in the past: Mailchimp, Aweber, InfusionSoft, and ActiveCampaign. Mailchimp was a good starter software, but as my business grew, and I needed more robust functionality (especially around tagging), I needed something more advanced. I tried InfusionSoft, but it was so complicated and confusing that I didn't end up using the functionality that I wanted to use. I dropped down to Aweber but changed quickly when I realized that they only do double opt-ins. As someone who gets many of his leads by pen and paper, this resulted in me losing a lot of leads that "opted in" in the offline world. Activecampaign has the best of all 3 worlds. So I've been using it for the last 3 years. The robustness of Infusionsoft (at least as far as the functionality that I need), the simplicity of Mailchimp, and customer support unlike any other.
ActiveCampaign is excellent for marketing automation. If there are certain things that you want customers and prospective customers to know about you, this is a fantastic tool to spread your message. Or if you want to send specific promotions to specific people, and not your entire list, this is another great way to do it, with their segmentation feature (you can segment based on so many different factors, from which articles they read, to when they subscribed, to what product/services they bought, to how much they've visited your website, and so much more). In 2018 and 2019, more of my clients came through email marketing than any other source, and I owe a large amount of that to ActiveCampaign.
