Overall Satisfaction with ActivTrak
I employ three fully remote workers with guaranteed hours and full benefits. I use ActivTrak to track the amount of work done and the scope of the work in order to better delegate responsibilities and monitor hours worked.
Pros
- Tracks hours and productivity
- Detects the use of mouse jigglers
- Shows start and end times for employees
- Shows websites visited
Cons
- We had to really dig to figure out how to find the alarms for the potential mouse jiggler. Had I not really researched, I wouldn't have known that one of my employees was using it. The alerts should be more visable
- The software is expensive, and I didn't like that I had to pay even more money to get screenshots of my employee who was using a mouse jiggler. While I really appreciate that I had the option, and it gave me the proof I needed, I think it should be included in the upfront cost.
- Positive in that I was able to prove through screenshots that one of my remote workers was using a keyboard auto clicker and engaging in time theft. I was able to terminate the employee for misconduct and avoid a potential unemployment claim.
- Tracking productivity
- Ability to view start and end times for remote workers
We are able to see how and where everyone's time is spent, allowing us to improve in efficiency and productivity.
It's helped me to support my remote workers.
I've only used ActivTrak. I have no experience with other tracking systems.
