Simplicity at its best!
Overall Satisfaction with Adaptive Defense 360 / WatchGuard EPDR
We use [ Adaptive Defense 360 /] WatchGuard EPDR in the organization and resell it through our MSP program.
Pros
- Lightweight client.
- Client is the same for EPP and EPDR, only acts differently based on licensing.
- Detection, response and alerting.
Cons
- Policy lacks assignation based OS type.
- Management panel is not the friendliest to start.
- Reduced endpoint support time.
- False positives close to 0.
Compared to Webroot, where we came from before moving to WatchGuard EPDR, I can ensure we have reduced our maintenance time by 75%. False positives used to be a thing that consumed a lot of level 1 engineers' time and has nearly disappeared now. I can't really speak for other competitors' products as we haven't tested them thoroughly.
Do you think Watchguard Endpoint Security delivers good value for the price?
Yes
Are you happy with Watchguard Endpoint Security's feature set?
Yes
Did Watchguard Endpoint Security live up to sales and marketing promises?
Yes
Did implementation of Watchguard Endpoint Security go as expected?
Yes
Would you buy Watchguard Endpoint Security again?
Yes
The reality is I don't find it much different from other products such as Webroot which is also centrally managed. It does have the benefit of simple visibility throughout all the security products when those are implemented, such as Firewall and MFA.
