Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat DC
In our office we use Adobe Acrobat DC quite a bit. We use it mainly when producing our university magazine. It allows us to show our editorial team what the design will look like, while also giving the editorial team a chance to show our design team edits/changes/additions that they wish to be made to the copy or the layout. We can then keep track of who has made the edits and if/when their edits conflict.
- Can be viewed on mobile devices
- Allows for 'marking up' the document with edits or changes
- Prints out exactly as the document appears on screen
- When making a quick last minute edit, you need all the fonts used. Sometimes that is not possible.
- It may exist, but real time edits for everyone to see would be great.
- Condensing a file doesn't really condense all that much.
- Editing
- Can be viewed on mobile device
- Being able to 'sign' a document.
- We are more efficient as a design team.
- We can better track edits
- We have been able to quickly show others how to make edits.
We have never had any issues with data breaches or security when using the Adobe Acrobat DC software. We regularly share documents that have sensitive info or we have been asked to limit who gets to see these documents. We have been very happy and pleased with all the security the software includes.
DocuSign is not as friendly or usable as Adobe Acrobat DC. It has severe limitations when it comes to displaying images or making any changes or edits (or recommending or changing any part of the PDF.) Sometimes I have been forced to use DocuSign by the vendor I am working with, but prefer to use Acrobat.

Using Adobe Acrobat DC
25 - University Marketing and Communications covering a wide range of services for our university. Our marketing team (covering undergraduate and graduate education), our communications, our executive comms lead, as well as our sports information team, all use this software on a daily basis. It is a big time saver for all of us in this division.
2 - We have a very limited group of support personnel on our campus. We have one for MAC and one for PC. We really don't need anymore than that since we rarely have issues with any Adobe product, including Acrobat, Indesign, Photoshop, or Illustrator. When an issue does arise we are usually able to handle it on our own with any assistance.
- Reviewing documents
- editing documents
- suggesting edits to documents
- We use the 'highlighter' feature to suggest edits
- we can insert any missing words or suggest changes
- we can show an editor lines we want cut.
- We are merging with two other schools so we will be sharing documents across offices/locations
- We want to get other offices to edit work we layout for them.
- We will track versions as edits are made.
