Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat DC

Acrobat DC is the end funnel through which all drafts and final files run through. All clients need to be able to access draft files for review and end files to send to print. Acrobat DC offers that universal approach. I am able to not only create PDF files for viewing but also compress files for smaller storage spaces, edit existing files, and allow clients to mark up draft files directly with feedback and comments.
  • Create universally accepted draft documents
  • Allow editing to existing PDF documents
  • Allow commenting for client feedback
  • Price point - everyone has access to free Acrobat Reader but therefore misses many of the functions only available on DC because it costs too much to invest in on a monthly basis.
  • User-friendliness in creating fillable forms. Strangely, this is a basic, yet underdeveloped DC function.
  • Ability to subscribe to Acrobat DC only (as in, not a part of the Creative Suite)
  • Universal industry acceptance
  • Editing and commenting functions
  • Compression of existing large files for email or Google Drive archiving
  • I've been able to increase production by about 20%, thanks to the efficiency of using Acrobat DC in client interactions.
  • My yearly investment of about $10/month has more than paid for itself, many times over.
I almost never give a 10 to any software, as there is always room for improvement. So that said, my clients and I can send, create, view, and edit any document across any modality (desktop/tablet/phone). It's also a universal fit with the free Acrobat Reader download and so no one has to pay a monthly subscription to receive the files I share.
Simply put, I just don't have to worry about security breaches or stolen passwords, etc. Therefore, I've honestly never HAD to think about security issues when it comes to using Acrobat DC. I can instead focus on the more important things, like being able to create, share and edit client projects!

Did Adobe Acrobat live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

Well suited: as a Designer / Marketing professional, I have it as part of the Creative Suite subscription. It's not only a nice but necessary part of my software arsenal. I can save, view, and markup files to share with clients during draft stages and provide final files, suitable for print when the project is completed.

Less Appropriate: for clients who are looking for software where they can not only edit but also create documents. Acrobat's strengths are in creating viewable files (based on existing docs created in other software) or editing existing PDF files. If a client needs to create a new document layout, other free programs like Canva are more suitable.
