Adobe Acrobat DC is used to easily merge files to allow for ease and convenience. It is also helpful when making changes/edits between team members because we can easily highlight certain sections that need revisions. This helps to ensure a quality deliverable that will be submitted to various clients, team members, and stakeholders.

In terms of security and compliance standards, I can't speak directly to that because I have not yet been directly involved. However, I do appreciate that the owner of the document is able to protect certain documents for privacy and to avoid tampering/edits from the recipient of the document.
I would say that Adobe Acrobat DC is the easiest to use among Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator because it does not require any complex training or experience with the software beforehand. Similar to Microsoft Word, it is an easy-to-understand interface that can be used to complete the necessary tasks.
