Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat DC

Most often I use Adobe Acrobat for document finishing on our organizational meeting documents (adding page numbers, headers, etc.) I also occasionally create fillable PDFs for distribution to our member churches. In many ways, Adobe is the "only game in town" when it comes to easily complete some of these operations.
  • Standardized finishing across long documents.
  • Tweaking page formatting on existing documents.
  • Document portability and standard file format.
  • DRM compatibility with older versions of their software (I realized this is a very niche gripe, but it really irritated me).
  • Macro accessibility in the current version.
  • I don't find the sidebar menu to be super intuitive.
  • Header/footer creation & editing
  • Page numbering
  • OCR
  • Streamlining the finishing of our organizational meeting documents.
  • Allowing the creation of fillable PDFs for gathering information from member churches.
  • Making documents more transportable and flexible through OCR scanning.
I have not used Adobe DC on anything but a PC.
We do not use digital signatures for documents — we're a small enough organization that in-person or email is usually sufficient for our purposes.
I've been an Adobe user from way back!

Do you think Adobe Acrobat delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Adobe Acrobat's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Acrobat live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

Adobe has done a really nice job of making itself synonymous with PDFs. There are a variety of other options available, of course, but I haven't found any to be as comprehensive as Adobe's offerings. This is mostly a good thing—their products are truly excellent! But I think that their domination of the market has allowed them to "get away" (for lack of a better, less dramatic way to say it...) with making choices that don't always impact their customers positively.
