Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Marketo Engage

Marketo sits at the center of our Martech stack. It collects engagement data from multiple systems (e.g., Intercom, Oktopost), aggregates it at lead level and send it further downstream to the CRM and other analytics tools.

We use it for outbound email marketing campaigns, lead management and privacy management. We send out dynamic emails with 100+ variations, curated for our prospect's interests.

In our organzation, Marketo handles the B2B side of the marketing. The marketing campaigns built within the tool span across the entire funnel, from anonymous visitor to life-time customer.

Essentially, we're aiming to increase new product sales and promotions, and drive growth in new and existing markets. Increase recurring revenue with existing customers and reduce the time-to-value between prospect and won opportunity.
Marketo was already onboarded when I joined the company.
While migrating from a platform to another is a challenge, all enterprise marketing automation platforms offer similar functionalities. These are tools, and the team using them will define how successful these are.
Marketo is generally preferred due to it's usability, out of the box CRM integrations, API, Velocity Scripts, and workflow granularity.

Marketo excells at dynamic personalized email campaigns (allowing for velocity scripts), template management and workflow management overall. Most appropriate for B2B marketing, and less appropriate for B2C, high-frequency, large bulk email campaigns.

Reviewing individual records in the database is fairly easy, but the reporting features are not sufficient. Additional reporting capabilities need to be built.
