Overall Satisfaction with Aha!

Aha! is used by a large portion of the company. We use it across the accounts and products teams to keep track of ideas and requests on the products. It's useful as a tool to keep track of feature requests, ask our team members to vote on these ideas, see if the statuses on any of these feature requests change, and write and record comments from other clients. It addresses our previous business problem of having to manually keep track of requests via Google Forms and the spreadsheets the surveys would populate. It's a far easier tool to keep track of and monitor several requests. I honestly don't even remember how we managed before we had Aha!.
  • Excellent organization, because it allows us to filter by status and category
  • Easy enough to keep track of my own submitted ideas and items I've voted on
  • Beautiful comment threads to see everyone's thoughts
  • Great notification system to see what's changed and how, so I don't have to live and breathe Aha!
  • I wish the notifications could be streamlined, so that the text of the email was just simpler and easier on the eyes, and that I could respond to comments by replying to the email instead of opening up Aha! again.
  • A little more color wouldn't hurt. The UX is smooth, but the design is rather bland. It still gets the job done though.
  • Less time needed to submit ideas via a google form that later populates in surveys
  • More efficient way for busy team members to review updates made
  • Saved us time across the board
JIRA has a lot more bells and whistles. It was easier to see how different teams across the (larger) company were prioritizing their own work against all of the incoming requests, and to see how those ideas mapped across the current and next springs. However, it was necessary for a 5000 person company at 1B revenue. Aha! suffices for a 1M revenue company of 200 people max. Though I personally was not part of the decision-making team that chose Aha! over other similar products, I still see why Aha! made the most sense for us given where we are right now. It's all we need and it does the job well and sufficiently
Aha! is best suited for a small to medium sized tech company that is looking for an easy way to keep track of feature requests in a simple way that allows us to communicate ideas to each other easily. Having also worked at Athenahealth, a large tech company that had several many more teams, JIRA was ultimately a better tool to combine a request management system with a sprint planning system for teams that work in Agile. Otherwise, Aha! is perfect for where we are as a company and for what we are trying to achieve. One of its best strengths is that it is so easy to use
