Overall Satisfaction with AlphaSense
I use AI primarily as a search engine. The most useful function it provides is the ability to search for keywords within a universe of specified companies. It saves tremendous amounts of time by being able to find common data across many companies in one place.
- The ability to easily view & export data tables from company filings
- The ability to search keywords across comapnies I specify
- Newsflow from companies I specify
- Sentiment analysis is helpful but sometimes a bit noisy
- The ability to extract data tables (historical) from press releases as opposed to just major filings
- grabbing common data across companies I specify (for ex. revenue/EBITDA/net income for 1Q '22 for ~10 companies at a time)
- information about stock price movements over time, in response to certain events, etc
- Efficiency/productivity
- Data that would have been very difficult/impossible to dig up is readily accessible
- Helped me find things that I otherwise would not have in places that I would not have thought to look
- Broader source base
The stream of relevant newsflow is very helpful. Numerous times I have found news items on AI that otherwise wouldve slipped through the cracks if i had relied on traditional news outlets alone.
