Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan

We are a global consulting firm focused on delivering operational transformation and enabling technology solutions to the alternative investment industry. As such, we have implemented Anaplan for several of our clients for various use cases. It is a highly flexible tool. For instance, I have implemented it for FP&A, investment budgeting, and forecasting as well as several other use cases.

Anaplan is leaps and bounds beyond Excel with versioning, multiple models linking to one data set giving one source of truth, and full audit history of changes available in the system. It enables you to fully trust the numbers you're seeing and working with and [give you] the ability for multiple people to be working in the model at the same time without worrying if its the latest version of the file.

Anaplan is a fantastic tool for long-term budgeting and forecasting for a whole host of asset types. It is also excellent at consolidating information into usable and highly dimensionalised data sets that can be used in a whole host of calculations. With the addition of the new dashboards, it now has a front-facing end suitable for reporting to all levels of business.

Anaplan Support

The overall support from Anaplan was good, and our issue was resolved relatively quickly and we were back up and running. However, when we swapped from one support rep to the second, the handover was lacking, and we had to go through many of the details again with the second rep that should have been logged as part of the ticket raised.

No, there was no need. Anaplan gives the same level of support to all their customers. If I had run into any issues I know I can also contact my customer success manager to help me follow up. However, the standard helpdesk was all, I needed to resolve my issue.
We ran into an issue where the model was taking an exceptionally long time to load. Anaplan helped us and then provided a model review to show us how the model could be improved/streamlined to improve speed.

Anaplan is a highly flexible tool that allows you to model many use cases. With the combination of lists and versions, you can run multiple scenarios allowing businesses to effectively plan for a range of out comes.
