Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan
We use Anaplan to manage the the FP&A planning process. FP&A planning includes detailed people planning, Sales planning through cohorting and other factors, ZBB opex planning, and scenario planning.
- Agility
- user interface
- Don't need to be a coder to build in Anaplan.
- There is size constraints/limits. That being said, Anaplan is already addressing that concern.
- Difficult to compare native versions. Anaplan has a workaround but it is not ideal.
- Management Reporting
- Ability to drill down to the detail
- Aggregate data from multiple sources
- Ability to identify low performing partners
Prior to Anaplan I used SAP with BW. It has been several years since I used BW but in comparison Anaplan is much easier to build out forecast and reports and easier to understand calculations. It also provides greater visibility to end users on how items are calculated. Also with BW we would have to send data back in for the forecast to update. With anaplan, forecasting is live. There is no need to send or save data, any user with access can see updates in real time.
