Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan

We implement Anaplan for a variety of use cases within finance and alternative investments for our clients. FP&A, real estate, waterfall modeling.

Pros

  • Extremely useful for taking in multiple sources of data and manipulating it for your business needs
  • Useful for solving complex problems
  • Connected Planning

Cons

  • NUX is not yet up to par with the old UX in terms of some basic functionality or ease of user experience
  • The new modeling experience, while an improvement in many ways, still has small things that be kept be improved to ensure continuity and conversion over from the old modeling experience
  • It would be really useful to have some sort of Today function
  • Connectivity to external sources

I've used Anaplan to implement creative solutions to problems outside of finance. I used Anaplan to create models for clinical outcomes, daily tracking, used surveys to determine a tenant's expenses. Anaplan is super flexible in its capabilities and you can solve more than finance use cases using this tool.
