Overall Satisfaction with Articulate

Articulate Storyline is being used by members of my team. We are a small part of the large company but are advocating for it's use in all of the training positions throughout the company. We use SL2 to create eLearning modules for both internal use and for the customers that we consult for.
  • Customer support - the Articulate community is beyond compare and I am always able to quickly solve any problems I might have. Check out community.articulate.com to see all the resources, forums, and samples that are available to both users and non-users of their products.
  • Easily and quickly creating interactive eLearning - no matter the type of module you need, SL can help you quickly produce technical training, soft skills, software simulations, games... anything really.
  • User friendly - Articulate is easy to learn, especially if you use PowerPoint on a regular basis. You don't need to know any coding or advanced skills. The community also has lots of tutorial and screen casts available to help you learn for free.
  • My weaknesses get really nitpicky. There are some features that I wish functioned differently but there isn't really anything that I haven't found a good work around for.
  • Increased efficiency
  • Shorter project timelines
  • More interactivity and greater customization for the learner in projects
In my opinion, Articulate makes it easier to create simulations and complicated eLearning scenarios. I feel like it gives me more options and greater control. I also think the UI is more intuitive and even the built in options, like the built in player, give you more flexibility in their look and function.
I enjoy using this product and I don't think there is another eLearning software on the market that can top Articulate for my needs and wants.
If you are looking to create interactive eLearning, I think this is the best tool. That said, the price is high and it may be more software than you need. If you just need to create a simple voice over PPT, or tab interactions, or screencasts then a simpler, cheaper software may be a better option.
